The anti-reach barrier is an accessory designed to be used in conjunction with an ADA gate and turnstile. An anti-reach barrier should always be used when installing an ADA gate next to a turnstile to prohibit someone from reaching through the bars on the turnstile and opening the ADA gate by pushing on the panic bar from the outside. It can also be used to make the ADA gate sturdier if standing alone or on a portable base.
